Free Enhancv Alternative: Resume Builder With No Branding, Free ATS Check and Word Download
- Updated
- 3 min read
Short answer: Enhancv is a design-focused resume builder. According to its pricing page (checked in October 2026), the free plan adds Enhancv branding and limits how many section items you can add, and the ATS check is part of the paid Pro plan. Aucio Resume is free with no branding: build with ATS-friendly templates, download in PDF or Word, and run the ATS check as often as you like. Enhancv is still the better pick if you want many design options or a cover letter builder.

When Enhancv is the better choice
- You work in a design-led field and want a visually distinctive resume with lots of layout options.
- You want a matching cover letter builder in the same tool.
- You're happy to pay for Pro to remove branding and unlock every section.
Design vs ATS-friendliness
Heavily designed layouts, such as two columns, icons, skill bars and text boxes, can be read out of order by some applicant tracking systems. Whichever builder you use, keep the text real and selectable, use standard headings and test the final file in an ATS checker. Our ATS-friendly resume guide explains the rules.
How to build a free resume without branding
- Pick a sample for your role or start a blank resume in the builder.
- Switch between the 6 templates without retyping, and use AI to tighten your bullets.
- Download a PDF to apply, or a Word file to edit in MS Word or Google Docs.
- Run the ATS check on the final file before you send it.
What we don't do (yet)
Aucio Resume doesn't have a cover letter builder or a job application tracker. If you need those in one place, a paid builder may suit you better. If you need a clean, ATS-friendly resume in PDF and Word at no cost, it covers that end to end.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free alternative to Enhancv?
Yes. Aucio Resume is a free resume builder with ATS-friendly templates, AI writing help, PDF and Word downloads and a free ATS check, with no branding and no sign-up. Enhancv offers more design options and a cover letter builder on its paid plan.
Does Aucio Resume add a watermark or logo?
No. Your PDF and Word files contain only your resume, with no logo, watermark or branding, and downloads are free.
Are designed resume templates bad for ATS?
Not always, but designs with two columns, icons, graphics or text boxes are more likely to be read out of order. Use a clean layout with real text and standard headings, and check the final file with an ATS checker before you apply.
Can I move my resume from another builder?
Yes. Download your current resume as a PDF or Word file and use “Fill from existing resume” in Aucio Resume. AI reads it and fills in every section, ready to edit, using the free daily allowance.
