How Aucio Resume handles your data

In short: your resumes stay on your device or in your own Google Drive. Aucio Resume has no user accounts and no database of resumes, and we don't sell or share your data.
Where your resumes are stored
- In your browser (IndexedDB) by default. They never leave your device unless you connect Google Drive or use an AI feature. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so download a backup from the resume menu if you need one.
- In your own Google Drive, if you connect it. Files are saved in a “Resume Builder” folder that you own and control.
AI features and your API key
- AI is optional. You provide your own key for OpenAI or another OpenAI-compatible provider.
- Your key and AI settings are stored only in your browser (localStorage). They are never written into resume files or Google Drive.
- When you use an AI feature, the relevant resume text and your key are sent over HTTPS through our server to the provider you chose, because some providers block direct browser requests. Our server uses them only for that single request and does not store or log them.
- Your AI provider processes the text under its own terms and privacy policy.
Google Drive access
- We request only Google's
drive.filepermission, which lets Aucio Resume see and edit files it created or that you open with it — nothing else in your Drive. - The sign-in token stays in your browser for the current session. You can revoke access anytime in your Google Account settings.
- Aucio Resume's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Analytics and cookies
Aucio Resume does not use analytics, advertising trackers or its own cookies. Google may set cookies on its own domains when you sign in to connect Google Drive.
