Free FlowCV Alternative: Unlimited Resumes, Word Download and a Free ATS Check

- 5 min read
Short answer: FlowCV is a well-made resume builder whose free plan (per its pricing page, checked in October 2026) gives you one resume and one cover letter with unlimited PDF downloads and no watermark, while more resumes and AI writing help are on its paid Pro plan. If you need a separate resume for each job, a Word file or a free ATS check, Aucio Resume's builder does all three free, with no sign-up. FlowCV is still a great pick if you want lots of design control and a matching cover letter.

When FlowCV is the better choice
- You want fine control over fonts, spacing, colours and layout, and enjoy tweaking the look of your resume.
- You want a cover letter that matches your resume design, made in the same tool.
- One resume is enough for you, or you're happy to pay for Pro to keep several versions and use its AI and job tracker.
Why one resume is often not enough
Indian job seekers often apply to quite different roles at once, for example a campus drive for a service company, an off-campus product role and a government vacancy. Each one rewards a slightly different summary, skills list and set of projects. Keeping a copy per job, tailored with the keywords from that job post, is one of the simplest ways to get past an applicant tracking system (ATS). Our ATS-friendly resume guide explains what to change for each application.
What you get free with Aucio Resume
- As many resumes as you need: keep a separate copy for each job, saved in your browser, with optional Google Drive sync.
- PDF and Word downloads: a text-selectable PDF to apply with and a .docx file for portals or recruiters that ask for Word.
- A free ATS check: paste a job description into the ATS resume checker to see missing keywords. Your file is analysed in your browser, not uploaded.
- AI help: improve or shorten any line with a free daily allowance, or connect your own key from OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, Groq and others.
- Indian samples: 70+ resume examples for roles from B.Com freshers to campus placements.
How to move your FlowCV resume to Aucio Resume
- Download your resume from FlowCV as a PDF.
- Open the builder and choose “Fill from existing resume”, then pick the PDF. AI reads it and fills in each section, using the free daily allowance.
- Check every section, pick one of the 6 templates and adjust the wording for the job you're applying to.
- Download a PDF and a Word copy, and run the ATS check with the job description before you apply.
Import works with PDFs that have selectable text, Word (.docx) and plain-text files. If a PDF is a scan or an image, paste the text instead.
What we don't do
Aucio Resume has no cover letter builder, no job application tracker and fewer design settings than FlowCV. Our templates are deliberately simple so they stay readable for an ATS. If design freedom matters most to you, FlowCV may suit you better; if you want several tailored resumes, Word files and an ATS check at no cost, Aucio Resume covers that.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free alternative to FlowCV?
Yes. Aucio Resume is a free resume builder for India with six ATS-friendly templates, as many resumes as you need, PDF and Word downloads, free AI writing help and a free ATS check, with no sign-up. FlowCV offers more design control and a matching cover letter, and keeps extra resumes and AI help for its Pro plan.
Is FlowCV free?
FlowCV has a free plan. According to its pricing page in October 2026, it includes one resume and one cover letter, all templates and unlimited PDF downloads without a watermark. More resumes, AI features and its job tracker are on the paid Pro plan. Plans change, so check FlowCV's pricing page for the latest details.
Can I import my FlowCV resume into Aucio Resume?
Yes. Download it from FlowCV as a PDF, then use “Fill from existing resume” in the Aucio Resume builder. AI reads the text and fills in each section for you to check and edit. It uses the free daily AI allowance, or your own API key if you've added one.
Can I download my resume in Word format for free?
Yes. Every resume you make in Aucio Resume downloads free as a Word (.docx) file and as a PDF, with no watermark or branding. The Word file is handy when a portal, placement cell or recruiter asks for an editable copy.
Is a FlowCV resume ATS-friendly?
FlowCV exports text-based PDFs, which applicant tracking systems can usually read. As with any builder, very designed layouts can be read out of order by some systems. Whichever tool you use, run the final PDF through an ATS checker and fix any missing headings or keywords before you apply.
