12th Pass Fresher Resume Example

A 12th pass resume should show three things quickly: your Class 12 stream, board and marks, the computer and typing skills you can use from day one, and any part-time, family-business or volunteer work you have done. Keep it to one page with plain headings and short bullets that have numbers. The sample below is for a data entry and back-office job and works just as well for customer support, retail and office assistant roles.

Tips to make your 12th pass fresher resume stand out

Put your Class 12 details where they are easy to find

Write your stream, board, passing year and percentage, for example 'Class XII (Commerce), CBSE, 72%'. Add Class 10 below it. For a 12th pass candidate these marks are the main qualification, so keep them in the Education section near the top.

Show computer skills with proof

Instead of just 'computer knowledge', write your typing speed in WPM, the Excel functions you can use and certificates like NIELIT CCC or a Tally course. Employers often give a short typing or Excel test, so only write a speed you can type on the day.

Count part-time and family work as experience

Billing in a family shop, a short data entry job, tuition or NGO volunteering are all real work. List each with the place, dates and 1–3 bullets with numbers, such as customers served, entries made or stock items tracked.

Write 'pursuing' if you are still studying

If you have joined a B.A., B.Com or another course through an open or distance university, add it at the top of Education with 'Pursuing' and the expected year. It shows you are still learning and explains why you may want a job with fixed hours.

Keep it to one page and skip biodata details

A 12th pass resume fits easily on one page. For private jobs you can leave out date of birth, father's name and the declaration unless the form asks; see biodata vs resume. Download the finished resume as Word or PDF from this page.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best resume format for a 12th pass student?

Use a simple one-page format: name and contact details at the top, a 2–3 line summary with the job you want, then Education with Class 12 and Class 10 marks, Experience for any part-time or family work, Skills, Certificates and Languages. Use clear headings and plain fonts so both people and job portals can read it. The sample above can be downloaded in Word and PDF.

How do I make a resume after 12th with no experience?

Start with your Class 12 stream, board and percentage, then list skills you can prove: typing speed, MS Excel, Word, Tally basics or a CCC certificate. Add anything you have actually done, such as helping in a family business, school projects, NSS or NGO volunteering, or tuition for younger students. Even 2–3 honest bullets with numbers make the resume stronger than an empty Experience section.

Which jobs can I apply for after 12th?

Common jobs for 12th pass candidates include data entry operator, back-office executive, customer support or BPO voice and chat roles, retail sales associate, office assistant, receptionist and delivery or field executive. Each job post lists its own requirements, such as typing speed or language skills, so change your headline and summary to match the job you apply for.

Should I write my 10th marks on a 12th pass resume?

Yes. Add Class 10 as a short line below Class 12 with the board, year and percentage. Many employers and job forms ask for both, and it costs only one line. If you have started a degree or diploma, write it above Class 12 with 'Pursuing' and the expected year, so the newest qualification comes first.
